hunting thrip

Yesterdays hunting trip didn’t go so well. First we woke up at 3:30 in the morning and packed our stuff to go. In the meantime we probably woke up the hole house. Scot our hunting guide got to our house a little late but that’s ok. We got to the hunting spot at 5:00 am. Then we had to hike into the mountain for half an hour before it was light outside. Then we came to the first stream. When we got there I found out that we would have to walk through it 9 or 10 times before the we would start going up the mountain. Well the river wasn’t warm but at after a wile it doesn’t feel to cold. After a long day of hunting we saw 3 running up a hill 150 yards away. So then Scot laid down and shot without giving me or my dad a chance to shoot. When we went to find the deer there was no blood so Scot must have missed. After that we decided to go home but on the way down we destroyed a wasp hive and all the wasps started to sting Scot and my dad luckily I was a bit farther dour than them so I slid all the way to the bottom and only got one sting. When we got back home I was very tired so I went to sleep early. And that’s how the hunting trip went.

April 16, 2010

Hello everyone, right now we are at another couch surfing place. It is very nice to have a place to cook and to leave our bags. Now to the important stuff. Tomorrow we have to get up at 4:00 am and a guy named Scot is going to pick us up to go HUNTING!!!!!!!! It is going to be so much fun, I hope. When Scot picks us up we will have to drive an hour then hick up a river bed to get to the hunting spot. He said that the week before he shot 12 red deer. So I’m hoping we will do half as good.

In other news, we rented a car and we have to drive on the other side of the road. It was very freaky the first time we drove but after a while we got us to it. It is very funny that my mom keeps using the wind shield wipers instead of her turning blinkers because it is on the opposite side. Well my friend Michael wants to play tag now so I have to go.

Cheers.

Update: We went hunting. Had a great time hiking up the mountains for at least 10 miles through thick brush. We got attacked by bees when we accidentaly ran into their hive. Dad got 10 stings or so. I only got 1. We didn't shoot a deer. But that's ok it was still fun.

new zealand

Hi every one, lately we haven’t been doing much. We are staying at a lades house for the last 3 days. Her name is Susie. She has 3 boys names David, James and Andrew. Today we went to a wine vineyard. It was very cool because after my mom and dad tried some wines we got to go out to one of the places were they grow the grapes and eat tonus of them. They were some of the best grapes I have ever eaten. Once we got back we went to the movies. We watched how to train your dragon. I wanted to see clash of the titans but my sister and mom didn’t want to watch that. So then we came home and ate supper. We had tacos that were very good. After we were dune eating we watched a different movie hear that they rented. I forget what one it was but I had seen it before. And that’s what our day was like.
Hopefully I will be able to write again soon but this might be the last time for a wile. Bye!!!

Leaving Hawaii

April 9, 2010

Today we rented a car for the day. We drove all the way to the pipeline. It took about 2 hours one way. When we got on the beach the waves were not very big. The biggest one we saw was probably 5 feet tall not 20 or 15 like we expected. It was very disappointing, well not that bad because there were some people surfing. One kid was very good. The one place I could have tried there were lots of people so I didn’t try because I might have hit someone. (I also would have looked stupid because I’m not very good) after that we started to drive to Pearl Harbour. Sadly we couldn’t get into the park to see the ships so we bypassed that and went straight to the Dole pineapple plantation. There my mom made me try on a very dumb shirt because she thought Rebekah would like it. (Rebekah if you are reading this please put a comment saying it looks dumb. Lol.) Once we decided we wanted some pineapple ice-cream and saw it was $14 for a pineapple split we left, without any. Then we came to the air port and I started writing on my Blob.

P.S. I meant to say Blob.

P.P.S thanks for all the comments. I like to know you all read it. And if you haven’t written any you better get on it!!!! Lol.

P.P.P.S. I’ll try to answer all your questions ne… (ahhhhhh where’s the …….. oh I couldn’t find the x, durrr...) next time.

Hawaii

Lava tube (google it). Very cool.
The glow of the lava in the dark.

The lava rock is very light.
There are tunnels in the lava.We found a black sand beach with Green Back turtles. They climb up on the beach to rest.
The lava flows from up on the mountain.

Latley we have been travaling a lot. First we flew from Winnipg to Vancover. There we met up with my uncle Corey. We had to wait in the airport for 6 and a half hours befor we could board the plane to Hawaii. When we finally got on the plane we found out that there were no T.Vs on the plane, well there was one t.v. near the front but I could barely see it. Finaly after 7 hours we landed. Once we got a taxi to our hotell we diched our stuff and went to the beach. Sadly it was raining most of the time. After a while of running around on and off of the beach we decided to go to a store to get some stuff for supper. We got salsa, nachos and some banana. Once we were finished supper we went to bed.

In the morning we got up and it was raining again. After a fast bite to eat we cought a bus to the air port. The plane we took was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. When we landed we had to try to find the place where we rented a car but of course we couldn't find the place so we had to rent another one. So we started to drive to our hotel and i thought it would take an hour because when ever we drive we never find the place we are looking for but lukily i was wrong, and we found it right away. Once we got there it was late so we ate supper and wached a movie until we (me my mom amd miranda) were tired then went to sleep.

In the morning we had a complimentary (i don't now if i spelt that right because we don't have spell check and my parents are ignoring me.) breakfast. Then we went to this old volcano to see the lava, sadly it stopped flowing two months ago. But there was a lava tube we could go in. When I went in it was very wet and cold. once we got to the end we went through a hole to the top and then we drove to this beach where there are turtles. When we got there, we saw a green back turtle. When we were there we saw a lady selling green sand and we asked where she got it. She said that you had to go to a differnt beach and hike in three miles. When we looked at the map it showed where it was. So we drove as close as we could and started walking. Along the way we met some people how said it took two hours to walk there. Once we got there it only took 45 minutes. So we took a littel green sand and left. Once we got back it only took one and a half hours. After that it was dark so we went to the volcano and saw the glowing lava. And thats what we have been doing for the last four days.
